You may recall that in my Lesson From Shirley, that my grandmother had crossed the rainbow. I was honored to have given the eulogy at her funeral. It was a way that I could honor my grandmom for her life and a growth in my own soul for taking on the task. I had a lot of gratitude for being asked such a big honor.

After, I wanted to make sure that my grandmom was proud of me and I looked up to the sky and said, “Grandmom, can you show me a sign that I did okay? Can I have a sign that you liked it?”

Monday morning, I went to the kitchen and realized there was no coffee. This was devastating (insert smile)  however I could run to the nearest coffee house and be back within thirty minutes of having to get everyone up, so I did. On my way, I turned on the radio and heard a contest that was being promoted. Caller ten wins a mystery flea market prize! I chuckled. Why would anyone want a mystery flea market prize? Not me.

I waited at the coffeehouse for ten painful minutes while the person in front of me ordered twenty different drinks. Finally got into my car and I heard the announcement again, Caller ten wins a mystery flea market prize! Good luck with that, I thought.

Just then,  spirit nudged me. “Go ahead and call, Amber.”

I almost spit my coffee out. “No way! I’m not calling in for no flea market item! I want tickets or something good!” I explained to my Spirit guide.

Call in,” my spirit guide nudged.

If I hit the red light, I will call in,” I said. And wouldn’t you know I hit the red light. Suri called in without hesitation and the phone rang. I got in without a hitch.

The game was to guess what the flea item that the radio host bought. I had to do it within 20 questions and by number 18, I won.

Congratulations! You won a suitcase!”

I pulled the phone from my ear and looked up to the sky. Why do I need a suitcase?!?!?!?! I don’t need a suitcase!

Katie Rose, the radio host, then told me that it was a care bear suitcase. My mouth dropped to the floor. You see, my grandmother used to sew me care bear blankets, pillows and even the actual dolls themselves! Care bears were my sign that grandmom approved of her eulogy. Now, I desperately wanted that flea market item!

The next day, I had a knock on my door from Jon, another radio host at the station. He came through the door with a big smile and a big red care bear suit case. It was beautiful and ugly all at the same time.

After he left, I opened it up to discover a spool of thread and a penny were left behind A sign? Absolutely.

LESSON FROM SPIRIT

Even when people cross to the other side, they are never truly far. They still show up and bring presents and gifts in there own way that only YOU can understand. Nobody would ever get the connection of care bears except for my grandmother because it was something that she specifically did for me. Your signs will come in ways that you understand. Something that resonated with you and you just KNOW that it was your loved one working the other side. If you want a gift from your loved one, simply ask. They are still here helping and working from the other side. Be open to receiving and you will.

Thank you Grandmom for showing me your approval. Thank you for all the love you have given me in my life. I love you. Its never good bye, its see you later.
