How to Clear Unprocessed Emotions Before They Harm You

Our emotions are the key. They either help us or harm us if left unprocessed.

You may have been told to “be quiet” or “don’t feel like that!” which has long lasting results if these emotions are buried or shoved down.

The mind, emotions and body  are all connected. It’s a system that works together. Many people spend their time thinking rather than feeling because they find the “feeling” experience uncomfortable but on the contrary, feelings will really help you out!

I’ve had clients who felt like they should leave their partner and then they mentally talk themselves out of it. I’ve seen people stay depressed and unhappy because they feel like a job isn’t working for them but they ignore it and stay anyways. Then they come to me feeling stuck, depressed and sometimes physically ill over the situation.

Body – Emotion Connection

Unprocessed emotions are harmful to the body. In an energy scan, this is what I want to uncover for the client. As emotions go unprocessed, they are stored within the physical body. Should you have an ache, pain or discomfort in the body, there will always be an emotional reason behind it.

On a surface level here are a few examples:

Neck: Is related to relationship problems. Not dealing with the problem, avoiding unresolved issues or spending too much time trying to resolve a situation between the partnership.

Knees: Unresolved family issues. Maybe there’s judgment, anger, frustration that lingers in your knee.

Shoulders: Classic – carrying the weight of the world!

This is how the body communicates emotions. Your physical body will tell you exactly what you need to do, if you’re listening!

MIND – EMOTION CONNECTION

Now from an energy perspective, we all have an aura that surround us. Ideally we want to keep this aura strong but let’s say it’s not strong and you have repeated negative thoughts. If this thought is energetically strong enough and repeated, it will create a thought form in your aura.

I had a client a few weeks ago that upon introduction, I saw a car accident in her aura. I just sat down with her and it was so strong that I could identify it right away. I asked her about this and she said car accidents have played a role in her life. It was a thought form stuck in her auric field.

Negative feelings will store heavier vibrations in the aura causing an area to weaken. Remember, we have tons of energy cords that come through the aura and chakras. When we identify what they are, we can then release and remove them to make our field lighter.

When we have a negative thought often enough, playing like a loop in the mind, it makes a part of the aura weaker because of the dense vibration of the thought. If you feel a certain way but mentally talk yourself out of the feelings without exploring it, you haven’t really let go of the feeling. Instead, its being suppressed in your energetic body and eventually the physical body.

As human beings, we sometimes have a hard time of the concept of letting go but its key. Our energy system is made for continuous fluid of energy not stagnant and stuckness!

In the Chakra Intuition Program, I teach readers how to identify these feelings of emotions for the client and find the exact moment it originated from. This is how we can help others identify and let go!

For example, I had another client who I found the emotion of “shame” in her sacral chakra. Her face got all tense when I mentioned it. “I don’t feel shame anywhere in my body!” Then a few minutes later she said, “I hope you see that I’m not the same person that I used to be.” Because she wasn’t in alignment with who was being during a period in her life, she felt ashamed. This emotion still lingered in her energy field creating a pain point that wanted to be healed.

Why identifying emotions are so important?

As you have read above, there is a big connection between the mind, body and emotions. Again, if feelings go unprocessed then it can create havoc in not only the mental body but the physical body as well. Who wants a bad knee because they can’t let go of Aunt Fran who favored their sibling thirty years ago?

As time moves forward, we have learned to stuff our feelings down and not feel them or even identify what we are feeling! The most common words from my clients are I feel angry, but they don’t understand why they are angry of any of the emotions around that anger.

We hold onto more emotions than being happy, sad and mad. Some people have a hard time identifying exactly what those emotions are because they have become numb to feeling their emotions.

There are a variety of emotions on the emotional scale. Instead of feeling mad, sad or happy maybe there’s another underlining emotion. Perhaps you are really feeling:

  • Grief

  • Failure

  • Overwhelmed

  • Shame

  • Stressed

  • Resentment

  • Rejected

  • Unworthy

  • or Jealous

What you can do to process these emotions:

IF YOU, DON’T UNDERSTAND YOUR EMOTIONS:

If you don’t understand your emotions at all, I highly recommend checking in with yourself throughout the day. You can even set a timer to remind yourself. It will take but a minute. When the timer goes off – or throughout the day, ask yourself, “How am I feeling right now?” Are you bored? Are you content? Are you experiencing feeling happy or joyful? Start checking in with your self.

IF YOU, HAVE A PHYSICAL AILMENT:

Start asking yourself, “What is my body trying to communicate with me?” Be open to any ideas that pop in your head. What feeling or emotion am I experiencing in a certain area? If your body could tell you what’s wrong, what would it say. Be open to receiving messages. Find a comfort space, take out of journal and write the question at the top then allow the process to begin. You may

IF YOU, EXPRESS TOO MUCH EMOTION:

Get out a pen and paper because its time to set free all these emotions! Writing is very therapeutic. When you write, you are letting go. My favorite times to write are when I’m exploding with anger or feeling mad or upset. Once I write, it takes out the charge of the emotion. I then go over the writing a few days later to uncover more meaning behind the feeling.

KEY POINTS:

  • Emotions are linked to your mental and physical body. They are not separate.

  • Every physical issue has an emotional issue behind it.

  • Bring awareness to  your feelings and the message it is trying to convey

  • Time does not move an unprocessed emotion. Not matter how much time has past, if its unprocessed, its still in your energetic body.
