“Help! I’m a sugar addict!” Inner Solar Plexus Work

“Amber, I can’t stop eating sugary items! I am addicted to it all!” my client exclaimed.

 

I get it. My client was trying so hard to quit her over eating, sugar craving consumptions that happened all throughout the day. She worked late long hours that were often stressful as she maintained her job as a head hunter in the corporate world.

 

STRESS + REFINED SUGAR & CARBOHYDRATES CONSUMPTION =

IMBALANCED SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA.

Without a doubt.

 

To get Linda back on track with optimum wellness, we had to balance her solar plexus chakra. This chakra is responsible for holding stress and empowerment. I can tell you, Linda was not feeling empowered by sugar. Instead she felt victimized by the power sugar had over her.

 

Sugar is addictive. The body will crave it and want more and more. When you combine refined sugar and carbohydrates, you are asking for war in the body. It’s no longer maintaining balance but a very acidic environment. If the body has been a host for a high acidic level, there’s a potential of candida to grow in the body as well. All not good news, so let’s back track.

 

Refined Sugar and Carbohydrates can contribute to:

 

  • weakening of the immune system
  • increase inflammation
  • weaken the body’s defenses against bacterial infection
  • put enormous stress on hormones
  • increase levels of glucose and insulin
  • cause candida

 

After  you consume a high sugar item, your adrenal glands kick in and release cortisol, to help rescue and balance you out. But over time, your adrenal glands exhaust themselves trying to regular your sugar levels and leave you feeling depleted and wanting more to get you back to that high again.

 

In the first week of the Chakra Transformation Membership (July 2019), we are learning about an overactive solar plexus vs. underactive and what you can do to bring balance to the physical body.

 

If you are feeling tired and drained all the time and you can’t change the ‘stress’ factor overnight, try incorporating healthier foods into your diet.

 

To support your solar plexus chakra try cutting out sugar and artificial sweeteners. Instead, get your sweetness you crave from fruits and sweet vegetables like juice or beets. Refined carbohydrates such as white processed flour behave like refined sugar and have the same effect. They give a fast release of sugar followed by an energy “crash.” Instead replace the with complex carbohydrates.

 

The solar plexus chakra is about becoming EMPOWERED and make choices that positively affect your life.

 

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Is there something in life missing? What sweetness in life am I really craving for?
  • What is the emotional attachment I feel when I crave sugar?
  • Is there a thought that is attached to the emotion? If so, what is it?

 

Sometimes we have to do a little detective work. Being mad at yourself for consuming sugar doesn’t work. Becoming more aligned with your self does. In everything I do, from speaking with crossed over loved ones to taking care of the physical body, my goal is always to align closer and closer to my TRUE self or my Higher Self. The ego can keep us in a “safe” mode and not want to transform, my goal is to unravel the punishing, “lack of” and limited beliefs and connect in with the truth of the situation.

 

Before consuming a sugary items ask yourself, “Does this item give me vitality and power or will it deplete my energy?” Every minute of the day you have the power to make choices. Having free will gives opportunities to align to your true self. This takes practice. This takes compassion for yourself. Be gentle and have a goal to keep connecting to the Light.
