My story
I held a lot of trauma in my teenage years and put on many pounds for safety. When I found my boyfriend at 17 (now husband) I lost the weight because I had a belief that I was finally, loved.
Between 2012-2014, I started running and it was what really helped me mentally and physically. My favorite running memory was running a 5 person relay-race in Vermont with sponsor, Cabot Cheese in 2014. When I say I ran, I went all from not walking to signing up for every 5k I could.
During this time, I:
- Became a Certified Health Coach through Institute of Integrative Nutrition
- Went to homes and showcased how to "Eat Healthy" through my own recipes
- Had a very popular blog "Mama's Blissful Bites" and then"Fit Foodie Runs" that received 100k views monthly
- Ran multitude of races
- Did a 30 Day Juicing Challenge that made it into popular magazines.
My spiritual and energy healing business went into an all time boom and then, like many people experience....life challenges happened. Oh, life!
The Weight Came Back On because of the stress.
Between being pregnant at nearly 40, moving into a new home, emotions of COVID for not only me but my family and community, closing of my private energy healing business and transitioning to online mediumship because of COVID pandemic, I lost myself.
One thing after the next....
I lost my biggest cheerleader, my dad.
Ron, my dad, was my text partner for every race I ever ran.
And after he left this world, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and I couldn't run. Literally. I hated my body and what it became and it showed. The new self ID of Amber with now diagnosed multiple sclerosis threw me down a rabbit hole.
I have given every excuse in the book and now I'm done excusing. It's time to clear my own BS. This time, for good.
Shifting your belief system is crucial because sustainable weight loss is driven by mindset, not just diet or exercise.
