Beliefs are energy. Use wisely.

You’re wrong!” “No, I’m not, you are!” Bickering, denial and closed mind mentality is all around us. You see the endless articles of fighting and bad news on your line up of Facebook feeds amongst other media outlets. It is everywhere. I ask, what do you contribute to?

Each belief and each action we take has a direct consequence.

When I was little, I used to see world of people as energy. I didn’t understand it until my adult years but this is what I was looking at. Groups formed to the same cause because of their belief which amplifies energy for a particular reason or function.

In my kid mind, I would see everyone in the world standing in a line. We all have a place somewhere within the overall scope of society. I would group the “strong” individuals next to the individuals that could go either way next to the individuals that didn’t care about a situation. The people in the group that didn’t care about a certain topic may have heightened feelings about another topic and that would start the ripple over again.

In truth, we are all one. We are born in a human body and our experiences, opinions and beliefs shape who we are. We are given choice. The most powerful tool in our box that we could ever have. We choose to believe the things that we put energy into. The causes that we stand up for, the illusions that we have created and participated in. It takes energy from each of us to magnify the issues presented currently in our society. Energy creates movement.

Again it is worth repeating. Every belief and action has direct consequences. You are a blank slate and have created your belief system from within. Are these beliefs assisting you currently? Are your beliefs outdated? Is there something you could change?

We are a blank slate when born. Then our experiences of how we perceive the world (notice our perception may not be accurate) start to form belief patterns from within.

Becoming an individual and able to think on your own takes responsibility. Not everyone steps into this role. They hide behind others thoughts, opinions and actions for acceptance. People feel good when they are in a group who supports them. Even if the cause is “wrong”, groups will stay together for the community it provides.

When you start to take responsibility for you own actions, beliefs and the energy you are partaking in, you may feel like you are alone. This is normal but you will find new people to share the new beliefs with and form yet another group.

When I started a food blog years ago, I made lots of friends that loved to eat. When I decided to change my diet to a healthier one, some of those bloggers dropped off my friend list. They didn’t understand concepts such as gluten free recipes and so I made new friends who did. A few years later, I changed my group once again. This time, I adventured into the art of energy healing. I once again created a new group of friends to accommodate my new beliefs. Groups are everywhere. Whatever you want to be, you will find someone who supports you. This is just as I was illustrating as if the people in the world were in a line. Change is natural. We ebb and flow to the different cycles of life. When we change ourselves from the inside other people will feel, notice and respond to this energy.

Some people have very little awareness of their belief system. I see it more often than not in my sessions when people are between two different “selves.” The old self carrying their conditioned belief system and the new system they are afraid to enter.

Now let’s look at this same pattern on a bigger scale. Many of us want to be “conscious” but we tend to still hide behind big topics going on in our world. For example, it was passed around on Facebook that the Amazon is burning and nobody is taking responsibility. A few hours later another post passed through my feed that stated, “Post this to make the MEDIA responsible to find someone responsible to take care of the Amazon burning.” What a thought right? Finally, a post past through that said, “Ways to help the Amazon right now.” Which one do you think had more energy behind? The post that said, “Share this so someone else can stand up and take responsibility” was spread many times.

We are becoming more awake and conscious as a whole but we need to evaluate our own belief systems from within to make a larger impact on the world. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. We are all very powerful humans and should take this shift seriously. Evaluate where you are, the actions you take and even the people in your circle.

You may or may not realize you are strengthening your root chakra on an individual level and on a conscious whole level. Everything starts from within. Bringing your current belief systems to the surface forces you to take responsibility for the energy you are projecting upon yourself, your friends, community and ripples of the world. I applaud you for being on this journey as it takes great courage to be the change we so greatly need. You are the canvas. Paint the world you wish to see from within.
